U.S. $2.50 Liberty gold coins, MS62
Pre-1900 dates
|
Minted from 1866 to 1907, these classic U.S. gold quarter-eagles are often overlooked in favor of larger denomination U.S. gold coins. In Mint State 62 condition, they are an excellent value today, offering true scarcity and financial privacy at low prices.
Featuring the world-famous portrait of Miss Liberty on the obverse and the heraldic American Eagle on the reverse, they make a beautiful addition to any coin collection.
True scarcity, excellent upside potential
Out of the millions originally minted, only a tiny fraction have survived in uncirculated, Mint State 62 grade. Pre-1900 dates are substantially more scarce than later mintages. Their true scarcity can mean higher premiums during periods of peak demand.
Unlike most forms of gold bullion, they are exempt from broker reporting requirements. In our opinion, they're better than bullion for bulk gold buyers.
